Sport and healthier lifestyle

With all diseases and allergies around, it has been confirmed that sport, at least 30 minutes a day, may extend your life expectancy.

Doing sport is, of course, a good way to improve your health. Not only it helps reducing the risks of heart attacks, diabetes and other immune diseases, but it has also a positive effect on your mood (production of endorphine) and behaviour (being more active opens you more relationships).

There are a lot of programs throughout the world which push people to move their bodies. One program has caught our eyes : the "President's challenge" from the United States.

For this challenge, there are two possibilities for you to participate :

- The first one challenges you for the Presidential Active Lifestyle Award. This program invites you to changes your eating habits (drinking water instead of sugary drinks, for example) and become more active during at least 8 weeks.

- The second one challenges you for the President's Champion Award. There, you will have to perform more activities in order to be eligible to the award (bronze, silver, gold or platinum). Each award has a minimum of points required (do you dare to get 1000000 points for platinum ?).

Despite being trained and having graduated in physical preparation, the Consuls of Surland have decided to undertake the US "President's champion program".
